Landscape Boulder Delivery & Placement

A few well-placed boulders can anchor a bed, frame an entrance or hold a slope. Rick’s Yard Spraying delivers decorative landscape boulders and large accent rock, transports natural stone boulders and relocates boulders already on a property.

Specialty boulder unloading and placement available for qualifying projects, subject to equipment capacity and site conditions.

Grapple placement depends on the rock, attachment, lifting radius, site conditions and equipment capacity.

Landscape Boulder Services

From a single accent stone beside the driveway to a set of large boulders for a community entrance, decorative landscape boulders arrive delivered instead of hauled one at a time.

Decorative landscape boulders

Accent boulders for front beds, island beds, slopes and entrances, delivered for homeowners and landscapers who want a finished, natural look.

Large decorative rock

Oversized accent stone and large decorative rock that is too heavy to move with a wheelbarrow or a small trailer.

Natural stone boulder transportation

Already bought boulders, or have some at another property? We can transport natural stone boulders from one location to yours.

Boulder relocation

Move an accessible boulder to a better spot on the same property or take it to a new site as part of a landscape redesign.

Landscape accent stone

Smaller accent stones and groupings that pair with larger boulders, mulch beds and plantings.

Commercial landscape boulders

Boulders for subdivision entrances, sign beds, HOA common areas, office grounds and retail landscaping.

Boulder Unloading & Placement

Specialized grapple equipment may be used to unload a boulder and set it close to where you want it, when the rock, the attachment, the lifting radius, the site conditions and the equipment capacities permit.

Not every boulder can be placed. Some are too heavy, too far from where the truck can safely set up, or on ground that cannot support it. We review each project first and tell you what is possible.

What helps a project qualify

  • A firm, dry route and set-up area for the truck
  • A placement spot within reach of where the truck parks
  • Clearance from power lines, roof lines and tree limbs
  • Boulder size and weight within equipment capacity

Not part of standard placement

  • Digging holes or setting boulders below grade
  • Building retaining or boulder walls
  • Excavating buried boulders
  • Guaranteed placement of every boulder

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you deliver large landscaping boulders?

Yes. We deliver decorative landscape boulders and large decorative rock for residential and commercial properties. Tell us the size, number and style of boulders you want and where they are going, and we will confirm what is possible before quoting.

Can you place boulders after delivery?

Specialty boulder unloading and placement available for qualifying projects, subject to equipment capacity and site conditions. When the rock, the grapple attachment, the lifting radius, the ground and our equipment capacities all allow it, a boulder can be set near where you want it. Placement is not guaranteed for every boulder; if a boulder cannot be placed, we will tell you before the job and discuss unloading at an accessible spot instead.

Do you work with landscaping contractors?

Yes. Landscaping and hardscape contractors, developers and property managers can schedule boulder delivery and, for qualifying projects, specialty unloading and placement at the job site. Include the drop location, timing and site contact when you request an estimate.

Can you move a boulder that is already on my property?

Often, if the boulder is above ground and the truck can safely reach it. Buried boulders that need to be dug out are not part of this service. Send the approximate size and a photo if you can, and we will tell you whether it qualifies.

What do you need to know for a boulder estimate?

The approximate size and number of boulders, where they are coming from, where they need to go, how far that spot is from where a truck can park, the ground conditions and any overhead power lines or tree limbs. Photos help but are optional.
